Giving up sounds easiest.

Super personal blog post alert.

I'm so sick of school. I hate school. HATE it.
And do you know what I'm going to school for?
A teacher.

yeah.

I can't concentrate.
I literally do NOT understand Algebra.
I can't seem to balance being a mom, a wife, cooking dinners, keeping a clean house, and all that jazz PLUS school work.
I just can't.
And it's only because I really hate it.

I feel like such a loser.
I'm almost 24 years old with no degree, no job, nothing.
If it wasn't for my husband who cares so much for his family, I guess I'd be hookin' in the streets.

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
I can't really see myself being a teacher.
I can't do anything medical because I pass out at the sight of blood.
I have no clue.

And most of the time, I feel like the only reason I'm going back to school is to please my family. To get them off my back.
I feel like an outsider.
A loser.
A total mess up.

I would love to own my own coffee shop/bookstore.
But that will probably never happen.
It takes money to make money, right?

What am I doing with my life?
I see all my friends who I graduated high school with who have these really awesome degrees and jobs that they love.
And I'm just here, sitting on my couch, blogging.

I'm like in super shut down mode right now.

I'm going to talk to my Advisor soon about what I can do to graduate the quickest.
I can't handle school.

So, to any family members who will read this, I'm sorry. But yes, this is me giving up, because it wasn't what I wanted to do in the first place.

October Lovies

Don't forget about the Instagram Blog Hop! I'm co-hosting!

Instagram Blog Hop

You want to know some amazing girls?
Just keep reading more about some of my October Button Swappers:)

Hi, I'm Melissa from There's No Place Like Home.  I'm a first time homeowner on a mission to decorate on the cheap!  My blog is for all those thrifty DIY rebels out there, looking for inspiration for their homes. I recently got engaged to a wonderful man and the love of my life.  Over the next few months I will being posting about the wedding in a series called "The Wedding Takeover".  On top of this I will of course continue posting fantastic DIY decorating ideas, creative party hosting ideas, and fun random things from my day to day life!

I love October for so many reasons.  Number one-football.  Yup, I said it.  But I love football because it encompasses all the things I love about October.  Like having a tailgate party with a giant pot of chili to share with friends and family, because it's finally cool enough to really enjoy it. And bundling up in my favorite sweatshirt, and snuggling up with my fiance under a blanket to watch the game.  It also means lazy Sundays.  And sitting around our fire pit at halftime breathing in the crisp fall air and watching the leaves fall.  If you're not a football fan already, you should really try it out.  You'd be amazed at how much it can improve your quality of life!

My name is Lauren and I'm a 20-something year old that loves to find
the fun in life. One of my passions has always been food. There is
just something about its entertainment quality and ability to bring
people together that is really special. Starting sometime in college,
I discovered my love for cooking. Since then, I haven't really
stopped. I put a lot of love and care into everything I make, and
wanted to create a blog to showcase that. I love to entertain, so my
blog has tons of fun party recipes and drinks.

My favorite thing to do in October bake pumpkin and apple treats for
my friends and families.

Hi y'all! I'm Sarah E. from Fortune Favors the Brave. I blog about my life as a mom of two, army wife, crazy cat lady, crocheting fiend, bookworm, and nerd. I co-host a Pinterest-themed linky party each week called The Pinspiration Project - which is about making/doing/creating the things you pin! I also just started offering blog designs because even though I have 8 billion hobbies - I'm still bored to tears. Hope to see you soon :)
My favorite thing about October is Halloween. Hands-down. Halloween is my favorite holiday and even though it's getting chilly and might even snow on Halloween up here in almost-Canada New York - I look forward to October all year round. There is nothing better than decorating with spooky stuff, watching Hocus Pocus, going all out dressing up, and getting tons of candy to stuff your face with!
Go check out these amazing ladies and show them some Tennessee Honey love!

"It's OK" Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OKAY
-that I am mad at almost everyone but keeping it to myself.
-that it's almost noon and I'm in pajama pants. Hey, I've been cleaning!
-that I want to move far away but bring certain people with me. Mostly just my grandmothers.
-that Fall Break was both good and bad for me. Good because I got a break. Bad because I'm still in "break" mode.
-that I got eye shadow for "brown eyes" in my VoxBox yesterday....I have blue eyes.
-that I'm still looking for shoes to go with my dress this weekend.
-that I am more excited for Halloween than anything. Well, except for Christmas.
-that I am going to distance myself from everyone that doesn't matter to me or that want to bring me down.
-that I put my family above anything else.
-that I let our house plant die. It was ug anyways.
-that I'm really wanting a tattoo on my foot.
-that I think my kids are the most awesome in the world.

Long vs. Short.

Why does my husband ALWAYS have opposite opinions from me?

For example, I got two dresses the other day for my SIL's wedding because I just couldn't decide on which one I liked better AND they were about $10 each. Can't beat that right?

My husband liked the blue and silver dress.

My heart was set on the black and pink dress.
PEMDAM.
(Please excuse my dirty ass mirror)

I think I'll go with the blue and silver one though....My SIL's wedding colors are navy so I will match the kids and Doug in pictures with this dress better.
But what shoes?! Silver? Navy? Black? (It does have some black in it).

And Doug and I are constantly debating on my hair.

He likes my hair short.
[Please excuse the kissey face...I stole that pic from MySpace...NO JUDGING!!]

I love my long hair.
And I cry every time I cut it.

This is where my fantastic readers come in....
Which hair do YOU think suits me better?
And what shoes should I wear for the wedding?

Be honest.
I can take it.
:)

Have you heard of Hullabalu?

I was recently contacted by the team from Hullabalu and was so excited!
 (And you will be, too!)

They let Kenzie and Tucker pick their own stuffed animal.
*Just to be clear, these stuffed animals were NOT made my Hullabalu*

Tucker picked "Mr. Bibs" but then re-named him George.

Kenzie picked "Sassy" but re-named her Pinky Zazzle Harold the Hippo.
Be sure to check out Hullabalu on Facebook to see their very first character, Pan the Panda!

Super adorbs.

And go HERE to head to the Hullabalu website and be sure to sign up to hear more about their grand opening!
If you have kids, I know they will love Hullabalu.
Every character has their own story!
How cute is that for real?

I can't wait to hear more from this company!

Meet Dobby

Oh....

You thought I meant this Dobby, didn't you?
Well, obviously this Dobby needs no introduction.....hopefully.

No, I'm talking about THIS Dobby!
Isn't he presh?

That's my Dobes.

And actually, although I spell his name D-O-B-B-Y, we actually pronounce it D-oh-bee.
I figured since we aren't British, we'll just pronounce it like we want.
And yes, his name is from the original Dobby from Harry Potter.
And yes, his full name is Dobby Dumbledore.
And yes, I love Harry Potter.

We adopted little Dobby when he was 4 months old.
It was love at first lick:)

And just to clarify, he licked my face. I did not lick a dog.

The kids love him, too. And vice versa.

It's funny how a little animal can take up so much space in your heart and become part of the family.
Dobby is the first dog I've actually cared about since my Punkin disappeared four years ago.

Do you call your pets weird nicknames?
Because I do.
Such as:
Dobes.
Dobertion.
Doberface.
Dobey-wan-kanobe.
Doh-bird.
Doh-doh.
Dobster.

Yeah....I'm a little weird, huh?

Mini version of Air Bud right there.
And all this dog does is sleep.

But seriously, this dog is a part of our family.

Let's take a road trip!

My best friend and I needed a mini vacation.
And to any mom out there, you already know...a mini vaca could be a trip to Target by yourself.
We NEEDED to get away.
So we went
And it was fun.
And I want to do it again.

We went to Clarksville, TN for a wedding.

I don't think I've ever been to Clarksville. But I loved it! It's not as big as Nashville, but definitely bigger than Jackson. And it was so pretty!

My hair is growing! [yippeeeeeee] And I wore my fave scarf.
On the way to C-ville, we had to stop for some yummy drinks, via Mickey D's cafe.

I ordered my usual, Caramel Frappe.

And apparently, according to the rude girl behind the counter, the drizzle on top (which is obviously CHOCOLATE), was in fact caramel.
Umm...right.
Well, at least the actual drink was Caramel. But there was no arguing with this lady.
Whatevs.
She better just be glad I wasn't picky!

When we finally got to Clarksville, we had some time to spare, so we decided to.......
you guessed it;
STOP AND GET SOME COFFEEEEEEEE!

We stopped at the cutest little coffee shop, Mag's Coffee.
Raven got a River Zombie.
She's just awesome like that.

I was actually feeling kind of blah, so I didn't get coffee.
*GASP*
I know.
It was bad.

BUT, I did decide to get a Strawberry Banana smoothie.

And it was the best decision I have ever made my entire life.

For reals.

I didn't want to stop drinking it. (See pics below)

It tasted exactly like Heaven. If heaven had a taste.
Ya know.

The wedding was beautiful.
I teared up.
Raven cried.
Eh, we're women.

We decided to take silly bathroom pictures.
Because this was OUR weekend and we do what we want.
Hmph.
lol just kidding!
maybe....

Annnnnnnnnnnnd, some normal ones:

And Raven caught the bouquet!!!!!
I need to be a bridesmaid.
She's my only friend who would put me in a wedding.
So I need her to hurry up and get married.
:)

It was such a fun weekend.
I'm already ready for another one ;)
