Ready for the weekend!

Let me just start out by saying I LOVE Halloween! So to say I am excited for this weekend would be an understatement.

We bought the kids’ costumes at Wal-Mart. Kenzie is going to be a “cat” and Tucker is going to be a cowboy sheriff = Cute, huh??

Doug and I had to be creative. But that’s okay, I would rather be semi-original anyways lol.

Doug is going to go as Less Grosman off of Tropic Thunder. You know, Tom Cruise’s alter ego?
It’s pretty funny actually.

Here are some hints as to what I’m going to be…

Figured it out yet? LOL

LOL yup… Cookie Monster! Or at least, my own version of a cookie monster =

I even have blue eyelashes. I might even walk around with a box of Chips-Ahoy and violently eat them LOL!

We will be going to the yearly Halloween party Saturday night. It will be at my SIL’s this year.
She asked me to bring a dessert and I’m torn between cake balls and these heavenly goodies…

Baked Smore’s……
Or maybe I will make both.. LOL! =

Oh, and I know this is super simple and you probably already know about it, BUT this is my drink of choice for parties.

#1) It’s super cheap.
#2) It’s super yummy.
Bull Frog
This is all the ingredients you need. Ever.
All you do is empty out the Mountain Dew to the top of the lable. Add Kool-Aid & shake until dissolved. (Be careful, it will fizz up. And this stuff can be MESSY!)
Once the Mountain Dew has settled down, add the Vodka to fill up the bottle again. Shake it a couple of times just to mix in the Vodka.
Pour on ice and enjoy your night =

When done right, you can’t taste the alcohol. This is a good and bad thing.

I can’t wait to put up pics of our costumes!!!

Getting Started

Yayy for me. I’ve been sticking to a “diet” for about 4 days now = I’ve been cutting back on what I eat and I already feel better. I’m going to start exercising tomorrow.

I plan on weighing myself every Wednesday. It’s the middle of the week (duh) so I will be able to tell how much harder I need to work the rest of the week!

Here are a few of my guides that I’ve pinned on my Get Motivated Pinterest board:

One of my “bad habits” is sweet tea. I swear it’s my blood type. Hopefully, I can get to the point of maybe one glass a day. Or even better, none! I really need to drink more water.

So here’s to losing 60 pounds!! = Wish me luck!

Maybe I will get brave enough to post “result” pictures.

Who I think I am…

this is my quote that pretty much sums it up

Who I Am:
A damn good mother.
A loving wife
A book lover.
Sweet tea, Dr.Pepper, coffee addict.
A best friend.

Who I Think I Am:
A big slob who stays at home all the time.
Lost in the world.
Someone who will never figure out what to do with my life.
All of my friends are going out this weekend. At first I didn’t want to go. Hubbs didn’t understand why. I tried using the “I’m tired” excuse, but he wasn’t buying that. Before I could open my mouth with another excuse he says, “If you don’t have anything to wear, I will buy you something.” Dang it. Can’t use that one either…

And then I just start crying.

    “I’m fat”.

Now, being the sweet husband (most of the time haha) that he is, he tries to calm me down. But in the process of that, he gets mad. He gets mad because he says I AM not fat, I’m just not as small as I used to be. And he tells me I am beautiful.

I’ve never really felt pretty except for when I was feeling pretty for the wrong reasons.

I was always so hard on myself for anything. My weight; my looks; my clothes. Even when I was a cheerleader, I always felt huge. And looking back now, I was NOT fat at ALL.
    Then and Now

    Obviously, I was retarded.

I’m still very hard on myself. I hate being in pictures. I hate looking in the mirror. I hate finding something to wear.

My self esteem is sad. Before I had kids, I loved meeting new people. I loved dancing. I loved going out. Now, I have to have a few (or 6) drinks before I hit the dance floor lol.

Hubbs tells me that my idea of beauty is superficial. I get my ideal body from Victoria Secret models. He says that’s not real life. Not everyone CAN look like that and he doesn’t care if I ever look like that. He doesn’t put lies in my head though…he does tell me he knows I’m slightly overweight but I’m not HUGE like I think I am.

But I’m not just gonna sit around and mope. I’m gonna do something about it. I’ve been cutting back on what I eat for the past couple of days. I feel better not eating a ton of food for dinner. Now if only I could get some energy & get over my hatred for sweat and start to exercise! I need to lose 60 pounds to be in a healthy BMI for my height.

Has anyone else lost a significant amount of weight before? How did you do it? Any yummy healthy snacks or recipes?

Also, motivation tips would be nice. Me and chocolate have this thing…and I need to let go. LOL!

    Potty Training

I’ve decided to do something new.
    Parenting topics.

    And today will be……

    dun dun dunnnnnnnnn.

    Potty Training! Yayyyy!

I stumbled upon this article from The Stir about potty training/using Pull-Ups and it gave me the idea to blog about it.

Did/do you use Pull-ups during potty training?

Here’s MY* input. With my daughter, we started training her a little before her 2nd birthday but then we put if off until after my son was born. So she was probably about 26 months old when we started back. I’m not gonna lie, at first we used Pull-Ups. We also got her a little potty. Just a simple one. Not some fancy-smancy talking toilet lol. Does the big toilet talk to you? If so, you might need help that can not be obtained from this blog. =

Pull-ups are POINTLESS. Do NOT waste your money on them (unless you are using them for overnight accidents). All they are is decorated diapers. That are easily pulled down.

Lameeeeee. They just want you're money.

Now, as a SAHM, the potty training was pretty easy now that I look back on it. After about a package or 2 of Pull-Ups, I finally realized they were not doing anything to help. We bought Kenzie her first pairs of “big girl panties”. Yes, panties. Cloth. Washable.

She loved them. “They look like Mommy’s”! Although …I certainly do NOT have Dora on my underwear LOL.

Yes, there were PLENTY of accidents. Mostly in the floor. (We finally got smart & didn’t let her on the couch until AFTER she had used the bathroom lol.)

Patience is a virtue in this stage.

When she had an accident in her panties, she was so embarrassed and sad. If she pooped in them, I threw them away. She didn’t like me throwing her pretty panties in the garbage. She also didn’t like that the pee ran down her legs lol. So after about a couple of weeks, she finally got the hang of it. She would know before she had to go, tell me, and I would help her on the BIG potty. She never even used the little potty lol.

Long story short: Don’t buy Pull-Ups. If you are a SAHM, find the time (and most importantly, patience) to potty train your child without wasting money! =

PS – I’m SO dreading the day I have to potty train my son. LOL

*Notice, this is all MY OPINION. So don’t get your panties in a wad. lol PunPunPunPunPunnnnnn!

    October 6, 2011

    In my head.

So I have tons going on in my head. And I need to write them down. So here goes.

    1. What am I going to do with my life? I’m going to school in the spring but I don’t even know what to go for. I’m against teaching because there just aren’t any jobs around here for it. I can’t handle blood & needles so there goes most anything medical. I was thinking going for a business degree & eventually opening up my own little boutique or something. But I’m so scared of failure that it pushes me away from pursuing anything like that. Maybe pharmacy tech? Idk…

    2. I’m SO sick of renting houses. I want to do what I want to MY house when I want to do it without asking someone for permission. So, we are taking a good chunk of our taxes the next 5 or so years to put up for a down payment. We are also going to be working on getting our credit score higher. We want to build a house. Nothing fancy. But it will be exactly what we want it to be!

    3. I’m going to be an owl for Halloween. Do you think that’s weird? lol. We go to a Halloween/costume party every year so it’s necessary that I wear something. And I want to do original. At first I was going to be a peacock, then my best informed me that pretty peacocks were males. Lame. So I decided on an owl! I love owls anyways. But this costume will NOT be drab, mind you. I’m going to make a tutu, a feathered mask, some cute leggings or tights, GLITTER GOLD SHOES, maybe some “wings”. Cute huh? I tried to get Doug to be a tree but he wouldn’t have it lol. So no couples costumes for us this year….or any year LOL.

Ok I guess that’s all the rambling for today. I’m so boring lately :(
